The Challenge
The Village of New Maryland wanted to install lighting systems on the sidewalk to encourage patrons to use the town's walkways, parks, and trails more frequently, and into the evening. New Maryland is also making an effort to increase its use of alternative energy sources and solar technology to increase the municipality's capacity to handle extreme weather events.
