Beautiful Earl Rowe Provincial Park is located on the Boyne River in a scenic river valley in Alliston, Ontario. The park operates as a green energy leader within Ontario Parks Network.
The Challenge
The park focused on testing green technologies and achieving energy independence as a green energy leader within the Ontario Parks Network.
Our Solution
A custom solar and wind hybrid lighting system was installed featuring a 55W LED street light with dimming, single solar panel, wind turbine, four 12V batteries, 400-watt inverter, and concrete StressCrete pole.
Results
- The installation generates surplus energy beyond street lighting needs.
- Powers an additional ten exterior pot lights on an adjacent building via the 400-watt inverter.
