Clear Blue is pleased to announce a new release of our Illumience Smart Off-Grid cloud software, the most advanced off-grid management and control system in the market.

Clear Blue is helping Vanu, Inc. to provide cellular coverage that will support up to one million customers in rural Rwanda. Clear Blue’s Smart Off-Grid solution and service provides the accompanying ‘power as a service’ to provide reliable, wireless, clean managed power for the Vanu cellular base station

Clear Blue Technologies, in collaboration with NuRAN Wireless, is delivering its Smart Off-Grid platform to Raeanna, a Nigerian telecom infrastructure company focused on providing rural connectivity. Clear Blue’s Smart Off-Grid power system supplies reliable, wireless, managed solar power to the NuRAN wireless radio communications system.

Clear Blue the Telecom Infra Project (TIP), an initiative co-founded by SK Telecom, Intel, Nokia, Facebook and Deutsche Telekom in 2016, today announced a collaboration as part TIP’s OpenCellular project group to improve connectivity in remote areas of the world.

Clear Blue Technologies announced general availability of release 3.0 of its Smart Off-Grid technology, used to power, control, monitor, and proactively service solar off-grid and hybrid-powered systems including street lights, security systems, emergency power, and Internet of Things devices. Smart Off-Grid combines a multi-load solar controller, built-in communications, and the industry’s most advanced off-grid intelligent lighting and load management and control system.

Clear Blue Technologies announced that the City of Hamilton received the Canadian Outdoor Lighting Project of the Year award from LightSavers Canada for its Mountain Brow Boulevard installation of Illumient Smart Off-Grid streetlights. LightSavers Canada is a market transformation initiative of the Canadian Urban Institute (CUI), and their innovation awards are intended to “showcase and celebrate individuals, projects and organizations making a profound impact on the advancements of energy efficient exterior lighting systems across Canada.” The award was presented to the City of Hamilton at the 2016 Annual LightSavers Summit in Toronto on November 18.

The United States will host the seventh Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM7) in San Francisco, California, on June 1 & 2, 2016. This meeting is the follow-up meeting to the COP21 U.N. Convention of Parties climate change talks last December in Paris. Clear Blue was selected for participation in the CEM7 showcase, “a celebration of 100 companies competitively selected from around the world for their cutting edge work – a bold display of the breakthrough technologies and startups that will drive change in the clean energy sector and the worldwide economy in the years and decades to come.”Concurrently with the CEM event, Clear Blue was also selected for the MaRS Cleantech 2016 Canada Demo Day, which includes an opportunity to pitch potential investors and to promote our technology.
