Power for Outdoor Access Points, Anywhere
You already picked the access point. The site just has no power. Pico and Pico Plus are off-grid solar and battery systems that feed PoE to the radio you run, with no trench, no generator and no hydro account.

The radio is the easy part
There is no power at the pole
The coverage you need is where the grid is not. The mounting point is chosen by radio planning, not by where a panel happens to sit.
Trenching costs more than the radio
A utility extension is quoted per metre and lands in a different budget year. The access point is a fraction of the cost of the dig to reach it.
Generators and batteries mean site visits
Anything that needs refuelling or swapping turns one install into a recurring truck roll, and the site is usually the hardest one to reach.
Panel, system, PoE, monitoring
Four parts, one supplier, and nothing for you to integrate on site.
Solar charges the system
A panel sized for your latitude and the shortest days of your year, not a nameplate rating taken in perfect conditions.
The battery carries the dark hours
Storage covers overnight and the run of bad weather. Choosing between Pico and Pico Plus is mostly a question of how many days you need to ride through.
PoE feeds your access point
Power over Ethernet out to the radio you already chose, with data passthrough. We do not sell access points, so nothing gets swapped.
Illumience monitors it remotely
State of charge, load and uptime per site, so a problem shows up as an alert instead of as a complaint.
What it powers
We do not sell access points. Yours stays exactly as specified, and we size the power around it.
Single-radio and mesh access points
The common outdoor AP and mesh case. Typically a direct connection with no extra hardware.
Higher-draw and multi-radio sites
Larger outdoor radios, or an access point sharing a site with a camera, a router or a sensor gateway.
Equipment needing a compliant PoE interface
Gear that requires a standards-compliant interface rather than a direct feed is handled with an adapter on Pico Plus.
Satellite backhaul
LEO and VSAT terminals used to backhaul a remote access point, powered from the same system.
Product names are the property of their respective owners and are listed only to describe equipment our systems are commonly deployed alongside. We confirm the exact interface and power draw for your device before quoting.
Pico or Pico Plus
Both feed the same kind of outdoor deployment. The practical question is how much storage the site needs to ride through bad weather.
Choose Pico
One small load up to 48W, such as a Wi-Fi access point or an IoT gateway. Compact, cellular-capable, and right-sized for reliable daily power.
Choose Pico Plus
A larger single load up to 100W, two devices, or any site where uptime through a stretch of bad weather matters, including satellite modems. 7x the storage.

Sites with coverage to deliver and no power to do it
Parks and campgrounds
Coverage across a site with no service road to the mounting point.
Campuses
Filling the gaps between buildings without cutting the grounds open.
Ports and yards
Coverage over a working surface nobody wants to trench across.
Farms
Connectivity at range, across ground that is worked every season.
Remote industrial and mining
Sites where the grid is a long way off and a visit is a day of work.
Temporary events
Coverage that goes up, runs, and comes down without a power contract.
Clear Blue systems manage off-grid power for connectivity and lighting deployments in more than 37 countries, monitored from one platform.
