Board of Directors
Miriam Tuerk
As CEO and Co-Founder of Clear Blue (founded 2011), Miriam guides the strategic direction and growth of the company, overseeing all functions. She has previously undertaken various big data, open source, ecommerce and cloud initiatives, and has sat on the board or advisory panel of several early-stage companies. Miriam holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and combines her education with over 20 years of experience as a serial entrepreneur and business visionary, with a proven track record of creating, selling and delivering novel products and services that have shaped the technology landscape.
John Tuerk
At Clear Blue, John drives product strategy and development for all power, solar and lighting applications and directs hardware engineering and OEM system design. Before founding Clear Blue, he was heavily involved in the Motive Power and UPS industries, with experience in business development, product management, sales and engineering at SAFT Power Systems Division, Alcatel and Exide Electronics. With a B.A.Sc. in Physics from McMaster University and over 20 years of experience in the power electronics industry, John drives innovation and strategic product development at Clear Blue.
Mark Windrim
As CTO of Clear Blue, Mark is responsible for developing the communications and mesh network infrastructure and the Smart Off-Grid control and analytics platform, Illumience. Prior to co-founding Clear Blue, he was responsible for product management at Three2N, open-source community rollout at Infobright, and Internet business development at BCE Emergis, with past roles at Apple Computer. With over 20 years of experience in the high-tech sector, Mark has a keen focus on implementing the latest advances in web-enabled technologies into Clear Blue's systems.
Greg Ross
Greg Ross is President of Big Red Management Consulting Ltd., providing investment advisory services to various clients. An award-winning investment executive with over 35 years of senior management experience in North American insurance and asset management, Greg previously served as President and CEO of Foresters Asset Management (prior to its acquisition by Fiera Capital), President and CEO of Aegon Capital Management, and Chief Investment Officer at Transamerica Life Canada, where he received Lipper awards in 2012 and 2014. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Toronto.

Joakim Winggren
Joakim Winggren is Deputy CEO and Investment Manager at Navigo Invest. His previous experience includes serving as CEO of Almi Invest Västsverige AB, one of Sweden's largest venture capital investors, and as Investment Manager at the Sixth Swedish National Pension Fund (AP6). He has held around 30 board positions in growth companies and has extensive experience from senior executive roles, including as CEO of Endorisa International, a global e-marketplace for industrial goods. Joakim holds a degree in Business Administration and an Executive MBA from the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg.
